Amazon Prime Lite is undergoing testing in India right now! Amazon has changed the price of its Prime membership over the years and continues to offer new monthly plans. Before Amazon’s price increase in December 2021, Prime was also one of the most cost-effective subscriptions. Since the price of Amazon Prime went up to Rs. 1,499, the cost of the annual plan has stayed high. However, Amazon is currently trying a cheaper plan for India.
A report from Onlytech says that Amazon is testing a new Prime Lite membership in India. The annual plan for the subscription reduces the price to Rs. 999. This represents Rs 500 savings over the standard plan. However, members must make a few sacrifices to meet the lower price.
What do you lose for Rs. 999 with Amazon Prime Lite?
With Prime Lite, Amazon Prime members get unlimited free standard and two-day delivery, but not same-day or next-day delivery. Members can now get deals and discounts that are only available to Prime members and 5% cash back on purchases made with an ICICI credit card and Amazon Pay.

The users will also have access to Amazon Prime Video, which contains commercials. Also, the resolution will only be SD, and only two devices will be able to access the content at the same time. Additionally, there will be access to live sports.

Unfortunately, the plan does not include access to Prime Music, Prime Gaming, free ebooks, or no-cost EMI.
Currently, the plan is only available to a small number of Prime members in India as part of a beta test. After testing, Amazon may offer customers who want to use Prime Shopping and Prime Video a cheaper way to sign up for a subscription. Access to early offers from Samsung or other companies is also possible. Unlike the mobile-only service, members can view the material on smart TVs and desktop computers. The Rs. 1,499 annual package is still available and provides access to all Amazon services for people who desire everything.
